Interview with Lena Kataraga from Infected Rain

Got to do a short interview with Lena Kataraga from Infected Rain. I did not correct anything as I wanted to keep the interview the way it was and I though it was pretty remarkable how well she did know English considering it isn't her primary language. It is a pretty big testament to how much she wants her music to be heard in the United States and beyond. Here is the interview:

What was the first artist you listened to that made you want to be a singer?

Hi, I am Lena from Infected Rain.
I wouldn’t say that any particular artist has influenced my choice to be a singer. I just always loved music and loved to sing with my favorite bands. But to tell the truth my desire to sing became true only with Infected Rain.

Where did you see your first concert and who was it?

At first, I visited small local concerts, where played our local bands, but the really big concerts I saw when I did my University in Italy. The at first festival that I saw played such bands as HIM, Soulfly, Ill Nino, Korn, and so on.

If you could tour with any artist who would it be?

The music I listen to is very varied, there are a lot of artists. And I will never refuse to play with any of them on the same stage.

I know you write all your own song lyrics. Where does the inspiration for the songs usually come from?

My lyrics are born when I feel any emotions or when something happens in my life. And no matter it is positive or negative. Sometimes, my memories and my past experience turn to lyrics.

Where would you like to be a year from now?

We all want to be there(US), where we would be able to realize our goals. We are ready to do everything and to leave everything for our music

Do you think its harder to make it in music being from a smaller country like Moldova?

Yes, it's really hard to do it from a country such as Moldova. Since the more a country is , the more opportunities are, and more people who can appreciate your music.

Would you consider signing a deal in the US?

Of course, it's something that we strive for. We would've done it without delay.
