Dear Stalker EP Review

Sometimes when I wade through the piles of bands that I look up from around the world I find greatness, sometimes greatness finds me.

I received an email a little while back from Lisa Maxwell, the lead singer of Dear Stalker asking me to check out her band. As customary, I wrote down the name of the band and watched the video that I was linked to for "In a right mind". I walked away impressed with the song and since she offered to send the full EP decided to take her up on the offer. What I received was an EP that has not left my car the entire past week.

Dear Stalker is a three piece band from Australia compromised of  Lisa Maxwell on vocals and guitar, Adam Learner on Bass, and Alan Murphy on drums. If you asked me to pinpoint one significant reason why the five song EP is great, I wouldn't be able to. This is one of the those cases where the final project collectively just works, and it works brilliantly.

From the opening track through to the last , this is an infectious cd that will have you coming back for multiple listens. There is nothing fancy, overdone, or overused about anything on the EP. Its just good old fashioned Rock N Roll the way it was meant to be played. Songs like "Talking in my Sleep" and "Trouble" will have you  hooked on their style, and finishing it off with "6 pm in the city" and " Back for a beating"  will ensure that your hooked for good. With the volume of stuff that I have to listen to these days I don't get overly excited about many cds. Im officially excited about this one though. I urge you to check this band out and find a way to get your hands on this EP. My highest recommendation.
