How did you decide on the name Hearts Under Fire?
Not a very exciting story.. Our old singer was playing with some name ideas & originally came up with 'Hearts Under Seige', we played around with the last word & settled on 'Hearts Under Fire' :)
What was your first experience with music and how did it shape what you do today?
We've all been playing music from a really young age, so all our experiences are completely varied.. A proud moment & one hell of an experience for the whole band was playing Download 2010 to a completely packed out crowd. Probably the best feeling in the entire world ever.
Your recording your new material now. What can we expect from the new tracks?
We know a lot of bands say this, but our new material is much more 'mature'. You can tell that we've really grown as a band & we're definately proud of this new EP.
What is the music scene like in the UK and what countries are you excited about playing in the future?
The music scene in the UK is awesome, but it's so tough for bands to make a living nowadays. One of our dreams is to play all over the U.S.A. on Warped Tour.
What bands would best compliment your style to tour with?
Bad Religion, Alkaline Trio, Bruce Springsteen ;)
What is the ultimate goal of Hearts Under Fire, and what level of success would you be happy with?
The ultimate dream for the band would be for us to 'get by' on our income, it's our dream job. :) However, we would be happy so long as we're writing music we love, playing amazing shows/festivals/tours & able to survive somehow with some sort of shitty part-time job that didn't affect the band's progress.
